Eric M. Babat
Eric M. Babat, a member of the firm and managing partner, has been vigorously representing accident victims for over 20 years. He prides himself on handling cases expeditiously and efficiently all with the goal of maximizing each client’s ultimate recovery. Mr. Babat explains, “I understand the importance of the case in each client’s life and they put their trust in us to obtain fair compensation for their injuries.” Accordingly, he recognizes the need to work aggressively on the file from the start because “the sooner we can obtain a recovery, the faster our clients can put their lives back together.”

Mr. Babat is a highly experienced litigator in the personal injury field, concentrating his practice in motor vehicle negligence, childhood sexual abuse, premises liability, municipal liability, construction accidents and general negligence litigation. He also has a strong background in professional malpractice defense and commercial litigation. After law school, he worked in the general counsel’s office of a large accounting firm and thereafter was an associate of an insurance defense firm handling general litigation.
Mr. Babat is a 1983 graduate of Cornell University with a B.S. degree in Marketing and Finance. He received is law degree with Honors from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 1986, where he was a member of the Law Review. He is admitted to practice in the State Courts in New York (1986) and Connecticut (1987), as well as the Federal Courts in the Southern, Eastern and Northern Districts of New York and the District of Connecticut.
